Bob,
If I'm not mistaking, doesn't the +4 use a mechanical sending unit and
gauge? It has a long tube connecting the sending unit to the gauge?
I though the +4 use the same gauge and sender as the TR3s and 4s?
If so, there are a couple of places here in the US that can fix/rebuild
the gauges and the tubes to the sending unit:
Nisonger Instrument Sales Smith's guages
and Service
570 Mamaroneck Avenue
Mamaroneck, New York 10543
(914) 381 1952
(914) 381 1953 fax
Motor Mart (MoMa's) Rework Smith guages
10853 Magnolia Blvd
North Hollywood, Ca
(818) 980-8642
Personally, we've had Nisonger rebuild the temp gauge in my dad's 48
TR 1800. The did a 1st class job. Members of other car clubs I belong
to, have had good things to say about MoMa's also.
