The copper hammers can distort the knockoffs.
Tool Roll and Tools V4-17-31 contained the following items:
Tool Roll V4-17-18

Black, 7 compartment Tool Roll
? Tool roll heavy coated burlap as early British originals (black)
could use material from old car tops and tonneaus for most original
material.
Grease Gun V4-17-16
Valve stem tool V4-17-2 (Dunlop)
Used to remove valve stems to deflate tyres. Brass cylinder knurled at
one end for grip. Notched at the other end. Found on TR2-3 as well.
Notes from Harley Colwell:
I think the longer one is the
newest-looking of the two that I have. I could be wrong, of course,
but it was knurled from the turret of a screw machine of some sort,
and has a helical knurl rather than a diamond knurl. The tool to do
the different knurls is the same, and you just rotate the knurl
holders to set it for straight, diamond (your choice of angle), and
helical knurl. An old-time machinist would have found a helical
knurl abhorrent. Furthermore, less experienced machine-operators
will set up a dual knurl holder like I'm talking about, with the
knurls set going in opposite directions, thereby cancelling
themselves out and making just a solid helical knurl. To make a
diamond knurl, the knurl rolls are set up mirroring each other,
which will make a diamond knurl. The tire tool is made of a brass
called
"360 free-machining brass." It's pretty common stuff, and the
diameter looks like 3/16".
Pliers V4-17-5
Tube Spanner V4--17-25 (.51" and .57" A/F), and V4-17-26 (.69" and
.83" A/F)

standard sizes are: 3/8 X 7/16 AF, 1/2 X 9/16 AF and 5/8 X 3/4AF. TR 2
and early TR3 spanners had a black oxide finish with clear metal at the
ends.
