If I'm not mistaken, I believe my door panels were held on by "escusion pins".
Very small nails. However, when I restored my car, I used #6 wood screws and
the finishing washers. Then a friend made me some buttons covered with the
leather we used to make the panel covering, and I replaced the finishing
washers with snaps.
