Mog Meisters,
I am again hoping to find a bit of information on how the rear shock
plates were mounted,
I know they were off the lower frame flange by about 3/16 of an inch to
avoids its curve and allow the plated to be well mated,
but the issue is how the plate is set relative to the rear axle.
I have the axle in place and can measure from the front mounting hole of
the springs to the plate it seems to be about 8.5 inches it to the plate
front edge, that would help locate it for me, can someone check this?
I know its not a strict geometry with the links, but wanted to stay
original.
my new frame does not have any holes and I had reinforced shock plates
with side gussets and top caps for the roll bar mounting, and it sits on
top of the frame, but the vertical plate is still an original template to
the morgan frame mount holes.
while we are there, does the ground for the dual 6 volt batteries, system
bolt in here to the left side or is it a separate hole and bolt?
finally,
I have one more odd question,
when the fuel line come forward for the standard morgan, mine is pvc
black, does that run under the other side opposite the electrical harness
at the lateral edges of the luggage area? If you take up the luggage
area floor and look under the outside edge, on the right is the wiring
harness, is the line of the left in the same area?
Thanks, trying to figure out both what I know was there and what should
be on this old endurance racer.
Best Regards,
