Dash fitting Morgan 60's

Hi,

looking for a bit on info on my dash fitting.

I am putting in a new wood dash in my Morgan, and am wondering it any
felting or other material was put between the 

top of the dash and the under side of the steel  bulkhead.

can someone look and see if it is just up tight to the underside?
