OK... I found out how the valve goes back in...

John Black replied: "BTW your valve that dropped out is the oil
pressure relief valve. These are screwed or staked into the hole."

Right John... so what kind of a stake do I use???  Actually, I found
out what "staked" into the hole means AND found out that the spring
end of the valve hangs out toward the filter.

I have re-staked it in and all is again well on the mog... off to
Tahoe this weekend!!!
