Gentlepersons-
I got this off the VW Type 2 mailing list but it would
seem to have a
much wider application...Oregon state rep. Richard Devlin has introduced a
bill (HB 3217) that would prohibit the registration of ALL MOTOR VEHICLES
MANUFACTURED
BEFORE 1981 beginning Jan. 1, 2010. The bill would allow the registration of
antique
or special interest vehicles that HAVE PASSED UNSPECIFIED EMMISSIONS
STANDARDS.
If you want to register your opposition to this bill,
call the Oregon Leg-
islative Assembly's info line at (503) 986-1187. Or the sponsor Rep. Devlin

Tony in NJ ...home of the four hour waiting time for inspection on the
Parsons Group
emisions testing equipment...Oh yeah, Parson's got the
multi-millions con-
tract after a $250,000 contribution to Republican Gov.
Whitman's cam-
paign chest...Maybe Bush's son could pick her as a running
mate...She
seems to have a firm grasp of basic economics...
