If the two pieces of steel are 1" on a side right angled steel of about 3/16ths thickness (or less) about seven inches long, then they should weld up to a cross member, have a 1" flat plate welded on the end, and are indeed to hold up the spare tire. I have a 57 2 seater plus 4 that's pretty original. HNY to all of you Chip Brown, who has been at home with his car(s) and has a squirrel living in the rocker panel of one of them. Not the Morgan. |
