Morgans may have their foibles and annoyances, but you can't say that you
don't have options when you have a Morgan problem.
You need an ignition key for your Morgan....you don't have the old one to
copy....what can you do?
1) Stick the fuse in the two-fuse box in sideways, jump the solenoid, and
drive it.
(3 minutes and $0)
2) Pull the ignition switch out of the dash (10 minutes), take it to a
locksmith and have a copy made (1 hour), put the switch back in (20 minutes:
10 minutes to put the wires back wrong and 10 minutes to put them back right
: $12.50).
3) Have the locksmith come out to your car and match up the lock and make a
key....6 hours, $50
4) Copy the numbers off the switch and have a locksmith make a new key from
them (sometimes they can't, but worth a try!) ($5, 1 hour).
5) Use a pin to pull the tumbler, and replace it with another one (2 days
shipping, $8.95 +$3.50 S&H).
Is this a great car or what? Try that with your Lincoln Town Car when the
"keyless entry system" goes on the blink (and it will).......
