Ross,
Check and see if you are using DOT3 or DOT4 brake fluid.  Frankly I renew my 
rubber bits somewhat regularly and if nothing has been maintained on your 
brakes in 12 years perhaps you should check the system.  On the otherhand you 
may not need brakes as Morgans can usually blast their way out of trouble.
