Gaitors necessary? I don't think "necessary" but they do help keep the grit off the lower part of the kingpin. It turns to a nice grinding paste and is going to wear something after a while.... if not the kingpin- then the bush. Depends on driving conditions I suppose. Whatever the grimey road dust in Atlanta is composed of (GA red clay?), I prefer to keep it out of sliding surfaces. Maybe I like the gaitors 'cuz they look neat... Fred Sisson |
