While I'm NOT on the panel, here are some of the things required:
1. We (the owners) need to try and find ANY old parts manuals that cover the
era. Most shops
don't keep their old books when the newer ones come in. Consequently,
most car before
80 have been dropped.
2. When you have something fixed, get any part numbers you can and start
compiling your
own parts xref list. Then email the info to the list, and or those
maintaining parts lists like
me (on SOL's Morgan Web page) or LMG.
3. If you can, ask before you take you car in for repairs. Several of us on
the list DO have
some of the older manuals. While the part numbers we may give you have
been
superceded we might be able to point you in the right direction.
4. Collect all the parts info you can find, and share it!!!!!!!!

Lorne,
I have a question for the panel. I took the starter, from my 58
DHC, a TR 3, to a well respected repair shop her in Baltimore. They
have
no records on and thing past the 1960s. How do we get the old
Morgan
stuff repaired in original condition? What should we be looking for
when
we have a minor repair?
