Hi John,
Clearly something is going on that you are unable to see (or hear). My
suggestion would be to fit another new piece and then do short - say five
mile test trips - each time return home and inspect the part to see what is
going on - if it seems ok - take another trip. At some point within the
thirty miles you mentioned something should begin to go and hopefully you
will be able to catch it before it breaks again.
