Your Corvette is a '55.
All (300?) of the '53s were Polo White with red interior.
80 percent of the 54's were white, 16 percent were blue, the remainder
were black or red. Red was one of the interior choices but no "brown"
interior.
Some '55s had the previously mentioned OPTIONAL V8 ($135) but some had
the 6 and, therefore, no V emblem. 1955 introduced the optional DARK
BEIGE interior! (Still no exterior door handles.)
The car was totally redone in 1956 (and the 265 V8 was available with
two 4V carbs).
So, you have the very rare and desireable '55 with the stock Blue Flame
6!
