SU carb Settings

Hi all,
This is a question for those with SU carbs. My '58 Plus 4 has H6 carbs (I
think), my question has to do with the main jet 'base' setting. (I can't
remember and don't have my manual at hand, so) When you are setting up the
main jet for initial mixture tuning - do you raise the jet so it is level
with the bridge and then unscrew it (is it) 3 full turns?
