Nah, I don't think so.  For starters, they would be hard to start in cold
weather.  On second thought, in the winter it is too cold here to drive
roadsters anyway.  Hmm, maybe not such as bad idea after all.  I don't know
enough about diesels but I would imagine that the power just is not there.
Would a, say, twin-turbo diesel V8 have sufficient power to complete with a
+8?  BTW, in my previous post I mentioned 200 gallon fuel tanks.  These are
Imperial gallons (1.25 US gallon, I believe) and are located in the basement
of the house.  I did not intend to suggest that people strap these things
onto the roof of their (diesel) powered cars.  That would be a bit obvious.
