Mark,
Sorry to hear about your disk. My condolences on your loss.
I'll be sending a small check to help out. Your plea has
reminded me that this marvelous service doesn't just
"happen" by itself. The fact that it's kept alive by
British car enthusiasts makes me appreciate the enjoyment
and benefits all the more.
Thanks!

Drat. A disk on autox.team.net kissed the turf. Luckily, it was not yet
a critical disk. Basically, I was moving a bunch of stuff from some really
ancient 600 meg disks to a marginally newer and, I thought, more robust 2
gig
disk. Well, the "new" disk was obviously NOT in better shape.
For the moment, there should be no noticable effect on the various Team.Net
lists run from here. You are subscribed to one or more of those lists,
which
is why you are seeing this message. Had it happened in a few days, after I
made the intended switch, things could have been much worse. For now,
though,
things are just plugging along as usual.
So yes, this is another "Disk Fund" solicitation. Some of you have seen
this
before. Some of you have recently sent in contributions to the "Fat Chance
Garage Tool and Beverage Fund" for which I sincerely offer my thanks. My
favorite was the check I pulled out of the PO box just the other day that
was
marked "For Suffering Endured"
If you would like to help defray the cost of new hardware for the machine
which provides you this service, send a donation of whatever you deem a
comfortable amount to:

Thanks,
