After a final drive (shirtsleeve weather today !!) the F2 is up on blocks
for the front end rebuild and 'a little' other work. The new sliding axles,
springs , hubs and sliders are here. So are the new tires and tubes. I'll
get the bearings locally. That will take care of the front end. The engine
will have to come out to modify the two bolt front mount to pick up the rest
of the cam cover bolts. Had the new boss for the Blumels steering wheel
machined last week so it will finally go on. Must also install dash lights
and the Mayflower tail lights. The trailer lights are now finally gone from
the rear end. The radiator is leaking also so I'll tend ot that at the same
time. May even have it rebuilt. Then, of course there is the screeching throw
out bearing. Dare I fix that too ?? All the while I'll be checking and
tightening nuts and bolts. I hope to be back on the road before March 1. We
will see. I hope to make the 120 mile trip to Taos this summer.
