The thread on stablemates for our Morgans is enjoyable and it would be fun
to hear some of the unusual "other" vehicles out there that share garages
with our special motorcars. In my case the Morgan is not in the company of
any other internal combustion vehicles inside the garage as my main
transportation, a '96 Jeep Cherokee, is banished to the carport alongside.
However, inside are some suitable bicycles which I collect and restore.
Currently there are four Raleighs, three Lenton Grand Prix from '59 to '63
and a woman's touring bike from about '61 (it has a cool Sturmey Archer
3-speed hub and front hub generator that will probably end up on one of the
Lentons). Also present are a custom made (not for me, I'm second owner)
Lippy full load touring bike (made in Oregon) from late '70's...it's the
only one with a name yet - "G. Gordon" (Lippy ;-); a 1976 Schwinn Paramount
track bike in cool bicentennial paint done for that year only (white with
blue and red decal stars & stripes - more subdued than it sounds and very
tasteful); a 1984 3Rensho (pronounced 'san rensho') road bike; a
contemporary Mandaric road bike with retro Campognolo equipment; a
contemporary Rivendell All Rounder; and a mid-80's Bridgestone RB-1 road
bike set up (by me) as a single speed and really quite wild in concept.
New topics: I had a message which I have lost (we just moved offices here
and my folders for my email got lost out in the move) concerning Morgan
registry and wonder if someone can provide me with the site and the info
requested. Ditto the address for inquiring about the Morgan bedside reader.
