Hello Moggers
I was just looking at the SCCA Solo classifications on:
http://www.scca.org/amateur/solo2/classes/java/report.html
and noticed what my Plus four would have to run against in Solo II. Since
all my auto crossing has been done in Morgan or LBC events I never had to
compete against most of the cars the SCCA has in my class
Has any Plus 4 owner out there ever run against any of the following? How
did you do?
Alfa Romeo2000 GTV ; Alfa Romeo2000 Spider, Datsun/Nissan2000,
Datsun/Nissan240Z & 260Z , Datsun/Nissan280 Z, DodgeCharger Turbo
Mazda RX-7, non-turbo. PontiacFiero V-6, Porsche 924 S, 944 engine
SunbeamTiger (all), Toyota MR-2, non-turb, TriumphTR-8 (all)
TVR 4 & 6 cyl. (all), TVR Vixen
Re: folding windshields, Once coming back from Detroit in the Morgan I spent
the day on the interstate and tested the effect of the windshield on the
performance by measuring gas mileage. 200 miles with the screen up, second
200 with the screen folded down and the last 200 with the top up and
sidescreens fixed.
I averaged 23.1mpg for the 1st leg. 23.5 for the second and 23.9 on the
last.
Of course as they say your mileage may vary .
