This evening I received my December copy of "Miscellany" together with an
enclosure from MMC called "The Malvern Link", which describes the process
of build which has been greatly improved over the past couple of years. Over
the past two summers I have witnessed this evolution in build personally, and
wish it were reflected on an updated MMC web site.
Back on the subject of Brad's question, the authoritative source states in a
side bar titled 'Trans-Atlantic':
"New car exports to America have been restored after an 18 month gap.
Morgan's commitment to the US market has seen significant investment
in developing systems to surpass US safety and emissions regulations.
The first new US specification cars went into production in September.
America has always been an important market for Morgan, with 85%
of production going to the US in 1960."
As an aside, my NAS Plus 8 (Production # 1 according to C.M.) is
shivering in the rain on a dock in Baltimore with two other cars, awaiting
customs clearance and destined for Cantab to be further modified for
U.S.D.O.T. Santa may have a real race on his hands since this timing probably
guarantees a Northeastern blizzard for Christmas after a record high
temperature of 73 F yesterday in New York City!
