Premature is all relative. The key to successful vacation planning is
getting the S.O. (significant other) on your side. Picture this: Honey, I
have some good news and some bad news. The good news is, I booked us
flights for that extended trip touring around England we've always wanted
to do. The bad news is, we'll be travelling in a Morgan!
Actually, my wife likes these types of adventures.

Could your investigation possibly be a bit premature?
My personal experience with Wykehams has been satisfactory as
has another list member, Joe De Luca, President of the Morgan 3/4
Owners' Group.
The first car I had from Bill had been hammered for a week going up
to the British Grand Prix in July, and as I was in a hurry to get on the
road, had not been properly serviced. The experience of the car was
still quite worthwhile in spite of the fact that the car had not been
properly sorted after it's ordeal.
Last summer for HalMog I specifically asked for a "long door" 4/4
from Bill and was provided with a tight and well maintained car
with 8,000 miles which had been the Earls Court Show Car. This
car was just great as it was cold and wet for the week and I had
not exactly packed properly, so a relatively tight hood, heated
windscreen, and a much improved heater were welcome. Please
do feel free to contact Bill with your requirements and use my
name if you wish.
Naturally, the time of year you travel will determine your experience.
I can recommend the last two weeks of July as being relatively warm
and dry, and just prior to the heavy holiday travel over there. You will
still need to book good accommodation by February in the Cotswolds,
Malvern area, and other popular spots.

P.S. Be prepared to travel light. My son and I used two thin hanging
bags and a large waterproof case for the luggage rack. Much
else and you will be burdened with an uncomfortable cockpit.
And don't forget your Barbour jackets.
