I've used SS spokes on motorcycles for years and never had a problem. Of course, they don't take the pounding of a trike. Antiseize is a must. I torque everything once, run it, then comes back and retorque. Never had a loose spoke after the inital break-in. BTW, there ARE high-stress SS bolts available (well, grade 8 anyway.) Cost is about $8 per bolt for a 3/8 x 2" NF. Ouch. - Carl Dreher |
