Tony:
Two options pop to mind:
1. Use the stromberg carb ( or later SU with the early SU manifold. The
early SUs had a long body and thus a short stubby manifold while the
Strombergs have a short body with a long manifold. Main problem, so I hear,
is it does not perform as well as matching carb and manifold,
2. Years ago there was a guy ( I don't remember his name ) who had cast a
manifold for the TR engine which used a Carter four barrel . Never saw one
after that and never heard of how it worked.
A third option I found while looking at newsgroups, is a newsgroup dedicated
to information on constructing home made electronic fuel injection systems.
Made for rather interesting reading .
