Steve, Firing order 1-2-4-3 is correct. Probably you are 180 deg. out if you are getting a backfire with the incorrect firing order. I can not tell you the number of times Bob Noguera has come by after an engine rebuild on Matilda because I had gotten the distributer wired wrong. Leave the distributer where you can keep rotating it and then when it starts you can move it to an optimum running point. Chuck Harris |
