I just gave my 1971 Morgan +8 its 175,000 mile oil change, manufacturing
magnetic oil plugs according to instructions I received from the list. As well
as the Castrol Syntec 5-50 I have been using in the crankcase for years, I put
fully synthetic Castrol Syntec Gear Oil SAE 75W-90 in the transmission and
differential. It is a lovely transparent golden yellow fluid, and the gears
seemed to shift very nicely after I put it in.
I have owned my +8 since it was new, picking it up at the factory in 1971, and
use it as my regular going-to-work car. David Collins, San Diego
