John,
The fillers on my Super Sports are the place where you put in gas, ours
came from the factory with enlarged 20 gallon tank, dual fillers, and
thus two caps in the back panel one on left matching the one normally on
the right, they are oval, but as my car sat in Virginia for 26 years
outside, it hurt the filler tubes by rusting many small holes, and thus
must be replaced. I am trying to keep her as original as possible, and
the factory rebuilt the gas tank to original spec, but I need the short
filler tubes, and assembly that the cap hinges to put into the rear
panel.
She is one of five SS made with the endurance package, this including
front cross axle brace, dual fuel lines, dual fillers, dual fuel pumps
etc, plus about 10 other options added to a baseline SS.
The other cars were 5305, 5308, 5322, 5356 and 5381.
I hope this is of interest, there was an article on her in the Rough
Rider a few years back...
Best Regards,
