4/4 engines

Hey you owners of little Morgans 4/4's,  is the Ford Escort engine the 
same as used by Morgan ?  Did some work on my daughters Escort this week 
end and was wondering if it was the same as working on a 4/4. Lot 
differant from working on my Plus four engine, didn't have to use the 
hammer once .
