If I named cars, I think a great name would be "Dinah" after the old
railroad song, especially appropriate for a Morgan....Dinah won't you
blow....someone's in the kitchen with, and when all's running well,
fee fie fiddley aye oh. Might be too American for such a car, but look
     where the locomotive came from....

     (But that's why I don't name cars!)

Steve Bauserman wrote about his "Lucy" recently acquiring her name. Chuck
Harris has waltzing "Matilda", soon to get a new set of autocross dancing
shoes.

Does your Morgie have a name?

My flaming yellow (middle chrome: you know, like a caution sign) '67 Plus 4
roadster came to us in'89 after having been sadly mistreated in her 5500
miles. Beat to S#@t is more like it. Anyway, after I got it running and the
paint & chrome cleaned up as best I could, I drove it for parts of three
years, adding another 9K to the odometer. During that time, we had three
cars in the household- Jessie the Jeep Cherokee, Bessie the Benz wagon, and
somewhat unfairly, my little Morgie became "Messy" because of her sadly
scarred paint.

She has now gone through a five year on again, off again wings off respray
and is once again gloriously yellow, with shiny chrome replacing the more
badly pitted stuff. We've been having great little trips out leaf peeping
and just knocking around in the past few weeks. She's running great, thanks
to the helpful suggestions of many of you morganophiles. The Melvyn Rutter
stainless exhaust is pretty much carboned up, so that the exhaust is quite
noticeably when the loud pedal is pressed. Great noise!

I think it's time for a new name. Bessie and jessie are still with us, as
is Elizabeth, a newer Benz wagon that's much more refined than poor old
Bessie.

Anybody have any good suggestions?

Regardless, please tell us about your own Morgan's name and how it came to be.

Thanks!
