Hole in the bellhousing is GREAT. Easy to do with a holesaw in the +4 bellhousing. I also have done it to my Ford 100E trike engine. Porsche 911 was this way. Also I agree with the Locktite. Probably have a galon of it in my cars. Buy the big bottle- around $20-30.00 but then you'll always have it ready.. Be careful using it aluminium though.. In fact- you probably shouldn't.
