Fellow fiends:

I had my first chance this spring to take a look at the mog (since the move
we've been deluged with house chores and the car hobby has taken... back
seat? (sorry)). I was discouraged to find a couple of paint blisters
(maybe a quarter-inch in diameter) in the lower rear area of both doors. I
guess this is coming to the outside surface from the inside. The car
otherwise appears fine, though it is showing its "lived in" character more
than before (I like that part; I don't mean to drive a show car). Getting
around to the question: is there something I can do at this stage to stall
the advancement of this pinhole rust? Does this call for new wood on the
doors? Any advice?

I had casually planned to do a makeover on this car, but now for some
years, and I'm not suggesting that a few pinholes in the door skin
constitute the sky falling, but I'd like to hear any suggestions. I don't
want it to just eat the dear little door away.

Thanks,
Will Zehring

p.s. just in case: I have a local friend with a lotus super-7 who is
looking for a 1500 CC engine with same-side flow head. Its what I've got
too, but I'm not ready yet to make a swap to a 1600 X-flow. Any help for
this fellow? (I mean that in the best possible sense).
