We had a conflict last year with the midwest
competition. It fell exactly on finals week, so our
team had to take 5 days of tests on 2 finals days, and
I even took one the last day of classes. If your
professors are worth their spit, they should work
something like that out.
Now we switched to semesters, and the competition is 2
weeks after our finals. Perfect!
I don't think you're ever going to satisfy everybody.
Some will get lucky, some won't.
