I found the same thing Barrie, that getting the cables working the flapper
and heater valve properly were the really challenges, another set of hands
is almost required, but no room for them.  It took more effort to get the
cable clamped down and working properly than to reinstall the heater.  I,
like David, removed the engine first before tackling the heater.
