It happens occassionally, and is very frustrating. I think what happens is the there is a slight difference in angle of the brake line and it doesn't enter the hole straight. Because of all the room you have to work in the midget (VBG) try this. Don't have the master bolted in place. Let it wiggle on the mounting studs. Then try the lines.
