I use the Paddy Hopkirk type bolt on accelerator pedal.

Then use the ball of my foot on the brake and blip the throttle with the
edge of my foot by rolling the ankle sideways.

It's a bit different, but works for me.

Then again, my organ teacher used to hate my pedaling technique too.
