Hello Group,
This is slightly OT but I'm really desperate now.
It concerns one of my other cars.
>>My 1972 Sunbeam Sceptre, after having been out of service for more
>>than 20 years, is running VERY rich. I guess it is a a carb problem
>>(there are two of them).
>>I did NOT yet rebuild the carbs, but I dismantled them for inspection.
>>The butterfly shafts, or, rather, their bores, are not worn out very
>>much. The diaphragms are OK, they have been replaced once again
>>today, but the problem persists.
The starter valves were inspected and found to be OK.
I am rather clueless now.
I've put this question up at the Yahoo [hillmanhunters] group but got
no answer.
Anyone have an idea?
