Jonmac, Thanks for the great response. I'm in agreement with your take on the terminology. Final ratio is the product of the transmission gear ratio times the rear axle ratio. They're only the same when applied to a 1:1 transmssion gear. What's so confusing is the use of the term "Final Ratio" to mean the rear axle alone. Regards, Steve |
