ATF is pretty much Hydraulic fluid, it has essentially none of the 
qualities of motor oil...I guess there is one identical quality, it 
makes a mess when it spills...As to weight I would say it's roughly 
10-30, but that is irrelevant.  The point is it is intended for 
hydraulic (high pressure) use first,  lubrication second.
