Jim and others who post pictures to look at.
Some of us are on dial-up internet due to the unavailability of DSL. The
only option other than dialup is expensive satelite services.
So, when you place pictures to be looked at, keep the file size to less
than 100 Kb adding the option of clicking to look at the original image.
Barney keeps his image files small so pages load fast and his web site
takes little space. I think he's said the web site is/was less than 20
MB!
An excellent free image editor is IrfanView which allows you to resize,
decrease resolution, and control JPEG compression as well as covering
just about any type of image file format.
