Either Moss or Kelvin (usually on this list) could best answer this
question. But it looks like 668-040 is merely a set of two 668-047 tie
rod ends. They appear to be for 1973 and newer Midgets. The 263-288
would be for earlier Midgets with a VIN lower than GAN5-114486.

Hello Listers!
I just got in an order of tie rod ends! I went to install them on my 71
Midget, and the bore was much too small to replace my current ones!
Did I order the wrong part?
I ordered a pair of part #668-040.
The bags I got have part #668-047.
I looked on the Moss Site, and it has the #668-040 and #263-288.
My Questions:
1) Did I just get the wrong part #?
2) Is part #263-288 much larger than part #668-040?
3) Did the DPO put in some kind of alien hybrid steering mechanism?
