Look under the wheel arch behind the wheel and you will see a panel bolted 
to the footwell box all the way up, and with a rubber seal closing the gap 
to the wing.  Removing that will allow you to remove the existing aerial and 
install (most) motorised types.  This also gives access to the large nut on 
the back of the door hinges, FWIW.
