Has the carb been rebuilt before??  It is fairly common that it's just an
O-ring where the hose connects to the float chamber.  If that is the case,
you can just take off the carb, go through that hose connection, remove
any ill fitting, worn, or otherwise not needed 0-rings, replace with a new
O-ring, and put it back together.  If this is the problem, it's about a $1
part (o-ring) and very little time to fix.  It is rare that jets actually
go bad, but needle and seat mechanisms do (and they are cheap too), and
seals go bad.
