About 1974, I put a vinyl top on my TD from J.C.Whitney.
It's an Amaco as well as the side curtains. Remember that aftermarket
manufacturer? Anyway,The windows are about as clear as when they were new:
no yellowing, just some fine scratches.
So, I think the deteriation is determined by how much time the windows stay
in the sun. The top on my TD only goes up when it rains, and the TD isn't a
daily driver. It's now mainly used for club events.

Yes, my wind wings are etched with "AMCO" at the bottom and my luggage rack
still has the AMCO tag on it. I've not found a tag on my vinyl top, so it
is probably something else, but it's 20 something years old and still has a
clear window. Like you, my top is seldom up, and never up if it is sunny.
