Just a note about materials:

"Lexan" (polycarbonate) is hard to break, but scratches pretty easily. As
far as I know it comes in clear and maybe white.

"Plexiglass" (acrylic) is not as tough, but comes in more choices of
thickness, and dozens of colors, including many shades of "tinted"
transparent. It also scratches, but can be polished with Novus plastic
polish.

Both are available from TAP Plastics, which will cut to your dimensions at
their stores.
