Engine trouble

Thanks every one for the advice and encouragement, it has inspired me to
attempt to sort this myself. With help and advice, of course!

So far only had time to quickly check the rocker gear which seems OK.
I will keep you informed, as I progress.

As an aside, I have discovered a part finished 1973 GT project with brand
new standard engine and many other new parts, would it be worth
consideration or are there any significant differences to the roadster
(1980).
