I removed the rear brake drum to verify that the rear cylinders I had ordered
were correct, since I won't be working on the brake system for a couple of
weeks (and I am not familiar with this car as its the first MG I have had). My
question is why the brake drum is held on with five lug nuts (wire wheel car)?
I could understand it if the WW axle could be disconnected from the hub, but it
doesn't look as if it can. If it could, just change the axel and you would have
a disc wheel car. Does it come apart? Seems like over kill if the hub and axle
are one. Just curious.
