In try to settle the rearend clunk in my "new" B, I've noticed 2 things -
despite the newer lower springs they did not replace bushings and I recall
Kelvin's rec for the polyurethane so those will be on order later tonight.
The other was the U-bolts for the rear springs were only torqued to 20 lbs.
BUT when I started tightening them the bottom plate appears to be bowing
upward. Can that be??? The torque sheet off "MG experience" suggests 70lbs
for a 9/16 bolt and I am nowhere near there. Suggestions? Keep tightening?
