Not so much a coolant recovery bottle which aren't pressurised as a remote
pressurised expansion tank. This was necessary to reduce the overall height
of the radiator to clear the bonnet when the radiator was moved forward and
its position standardised with the V8. An unpressurised coolant recovery
bottle can be fitted to the overflow of either system, as long as you have
the radiator cap with the double seal. It shouldn't be necessary in either
case as the radiator should only overflow if it is overfilled (which is
self-correcting) or there is a problem.
