I have a cheap CD player in my car. It's a pretty tight fit but it
works.
However, it skips readily. Maybe an MP3 player is a better idea.
I've never understood putting speakers back there. When properly
configured,
they'd do no good anyway. Top down will muffle all the sound. The
problem is
high end not bass. Unless you want nothing but thump thump. Still it
wouldn't
be wonderful.
It's also a structural part of the car.
I believe Kelvin said they are trying to develop headrest speakers
for the
'B seats.
Personally, I have Miata seats with speakers. They're great. If I didn't
have those, I'd probably go with some removable enclosures. Like the
small
indoor outdoor speakers.
