Correct - the original dynamo is perfectly adequate for all normal
electrical demands on an MGA. There is no need to change to an alternator
unless you
have installed something which creates an abnormal draw.
On any car that has the battery connected all the time, be aware that ANY
draw, however small will drain the battery. A clock will do this in a few
weeks.
